Taking two hours to complete, this relatively remote coastal walk starts at the northern end of Strandhill’s seafront promenade.
The route passes the early Christian site of Killaspugbrone Church and follows sandy, stony and gravel path through a variety of coastal habitats including sand dunes, salt marsh and pine woodland around Sligo Airport runway.
The loop returns on roadside footpaths and showcases simply magnificent views of Benbulben, Knocknarea Mountain and Sligo Bay. The trail ascends 30m overall.
