Enjoy County Mayo’s breathtaking coastal scenery on this 6km loop. Based in the village of Mulranny, this moderate trail boasts stunning natural beauty, immense biodiversity and incredible Atlantic seascapes.

Explore County Mayo’s corner of the Wild Atlantic Way on a moderate loop that takes 2.3 hours to complete.

Following a mix of minor road, surfaced road, forest roadway and track, walkers can visit Ireland’s only swathe of Mediterranean heather, explore charming woodland, stunning beaches and even Atlantic salt marsh. You’ll also traverse delightful Trawoughter Bay along Mulranny’s unique causeway.

Over just 6km, the exceptional Lookout Hill Loop showcases elevated views of dramatic Bellacragher Bay and to the south, idyllic Clew Bay with its sprinkling of drumlins set against majestic Croagh Patrick.

The pretty seaside village of Mulranny is a great place to enjoy a coffee break after this picturesque loop.
