A 4 hour loop, the Spinc and Wicklow Way trail showcases much of the Glendalough area’s famed pastoral scenery. A high mountain route - the total ascent is 490m - the trail is considered strenuous.
Traversing rough mountain track and forest roads, the route ascends on a steep path by idyllic Poulanass Waterfall, up to a boardwalk. Wooden steps then lead walkers to a viewing point boasting astounding vantage points over the placid Glendalough Upper Lake.
This spectacular trail then circles under Lugduff Mountain before entering the lush mountain valley along forest road and back to your start point.
After your loop, a stop in the nearby pictorial village of Laragh is recommended for some welcome rest and refreshment.
